Mention it to any connoisseur—in Europe, the Maghreb, or elsewhere—and they’ll know exactly what you’re talking about. Ketama is the global benchmark for hashish, the standard against which everything has been measured for decades.

But behind the myth lies a very concrete geographical reality: a mountainous region in the Moroccan Rif, at an altitude of over 1,500 meters, where rare natural conditions combine with expertise passed down from generation to generation.

That’s where we grow our crops. Not traditional hashish— but legal CBD hash, using genetics selected in Switzerland and planted in these very same soils. And we’ve been filming this work for years: a good portion of our @goldbar420 videos were shot there.

What We Produce at Ketama

This is where the story ends and the numbers begin.

No. 0018 is grown in Ounas Edin, facing due south at 1, 750 meters in the Ketama region. Harvested in 2025 under intense UV exposure. This was followed by months of curing, with extraction taking place only in January 2026, once the cold had set in.

The result, analyzed by an ISO 17025-accredited Swiss laboratory: 2.2% terpenes — the highest level in our entire collection. With 0.62% selinadiene, which reflects the resinous depth of the terroir. 22 kilograms, a single harvest, a single batch.

No. 0020 grows in Bab Berred, at the edge of the Ketama Forest. And here’s the proof: its dominant terpeneis alpha-pinene—the one found in pine needles—at 0.35%, the highest level in our range. Meanwhile, its selinadiene content drops to 0.14%, the lowest.

The only resin in the collection where pine notes dominate over earthy ones. And it’s the one that grows among the pine trees.

This isn’t just a figure of speech. It’s what a terroir does to a plant, and it shows up in an analysis report.

Swiss genetics on Moroccan soil

Our plants do not come from local seeds. Each strain is selected and validated in a laboratory in Switzerland —cannabinoid profile, terpene richness, stability—before being planted in the Rif.

The genetics provide the potential. The terroir determines what comes through.

From seed selection to pressing the ingot, our production is filmed and posted on Instagram and YouTube @goldbar420. Most of these videos were shot on location in Ketama and the surrounding regions.

The fields, the people working them, the tam-tam in action, the hand-pressing. Not a single studio photo—just the real work. It’s the only honest way to prove what we claim.

Is Ketama hash legal?

Let’s be clear, because that’s the question everyone is asking.

Traditional Ketama hash contains several percent THC. It is illegal in Switzerland and throughout Europe, and it will remain so. No one can legally sell it to you.

What we produce is different. Our blocks are made from CBD strains selected in Switzerland, grown in the same soil, processed with the same expertise, and the same care. They comply with legal limits: less than 1% THC in Switzerland, less than 0.3% in France and Europe.

Because the cold is essential. When it’s warm, the trichomes expand, stick together, and clog the mesh of the sieve. Contracted by the first cold snap in the mountains, they detach cleanly. Waiting ties up months’ worth of inventory—but we wait anyway.

No. Zero isolates, zero distillates, zero texture agents, zero added terpenes. Dry sifted using a tam-tam, 153 microns, hand-pressed. The analyses confirm it, batch by batch.
