Goldbar420 Notebook: Includes 32 king-size sheets of unbleached paper and 32 box filters. Gummed with gum arabic. All in a single case.
The paper is left in its natural color: no chlorine, no optical brighteners, no bleaching. That explains its slightly uneven beige color—a sign that nothing has been added.
32 sheets and 32 box filters, all in a single booklet. One filter per sheet: no need to count them, no need to buy extras, and nothing to leave behind at home.
The filters are made of unbleached cardboard, just like the paper, and are perforated so you can roll them with one hand. Most notebooks on the market contain just sheets of paper—a notebook that runs out at the same time as its filters is simply better designed.
The adhesive strip is made of gum arabic, a plant-based resin derived from the acacia tree. It is the industry standard and the only one that sticks properly without leaving a taste.
It is applied in a thin, even strip: it adheres on the first try, without needing to go over it again.
Unbleached paper likes only two things: dryness and shade. When stored in a closed container at room temperature, a notebook will retain its qualities for years.
Avoid the bathroom, the glove compartment in the middle of summer, and damp pockets: the eraser is the first thing to get damaged.
No chlorine bleaching, no optical brighteners, no synthetic adhesives. These are the three things we don’t want in paper—and the three things you won’t find here.
Small batches, like the rest of the catalog. We don’t produce the paper ourselves: we select a manufacturer and put our name on it.
Look at the color: an uneven beige, not a uniform white. Look at the gummed edge: a thin, matte line, not a shiny strip. These are the two telltale signs of paper that hasn’t been treated to make it more marketable.
It’s the same approach we take throughout the rest of the catalog—we’d rather explain what’s inside than promise what’s on the outside.
The Goldbar420 collection follows the same rule: carefully selected basics, in-house finishing, and no automatic restocking.
FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certification guarantees that the wood or paper used comes from sustainably managed forests that respect the environment, local communities and economic criteria. For Goldbar420 rolling papers, this means that you are using an environmentally friendly, sustainable product made from renewable resources.
Each pack contains 32 ultra-thin sheets,32 filters and a mixing bowl.
Our papers are made from natural, chlorine-free gum arabic for slow and even burning.
Our pieces are produced in small batches, inspired by our travels and the people we meet. Once a color is gone, it may not come back.
